The Bread of Life Church is committed to freeing slaves by paying off their debts. Over the past three years, we've been fortunate enough to rescue 30 individuals from modern-day slavery, including many orphans, widows, and families, all thanks to God's grace. After rescuing these children from modern-day slavery, we welcome them into the Bright Hope Orphanage, a safe haven where they can recover, grow, and flourish among their peers. The remarkable transformation in our children is a constant source of inspiration for us, as we see those who were once abused, rejected, and alone now embracing life with joy, purpose, and hope. God's healing touch is restoring their brokenness and wounds every day. When we liberate a family, to prevent them from falling back into debt, we place them under the care of our church, where our team provides guidance.
We offer them temporary housing for the initial 2-3 months, assist with basic necessities and food, and equip them with the means to support themselves, whether through a sewing machine and supplies or a small shop to sustain their family.
This support allows them to engage in meaningful work, a stark contrast to the arduous labor they endured in the brick kilns.
